Investment Management Approach – Overview
Structure
Amiri Equity Alternative Strategies Fund (AEAS) is a fund of fund managers. A number of well established non-Islamic fund managers manage segregated accounts within the Amiri Fund using the Amiri Capital Shariah infrastructure: Amiri S3 and Amiri Capital Shorting Structure.
Portfolio Construction
The portfolio is structured using Coronation’s strong manager selection capabilities. The starting point for manager allocations is the MSCI World Index regional weightings, however there are tilts depending on the investment opportunity sets.
Amiri Capital Role
Amiri Capital is responsible for product structuring and investor management. The Shariah compliance is based around stock screening and Shariah compliant shorting.
Coronation International Role
Coronation International is responsible for constructing the portfolio of fund managers. Coronation has over 10 years experience in selecting excellent managers.
