Amiri Capital delivers Shariah Compliant and Shariah Inclined equity solutions that combine cutting edge Shariah structures with leading global asset managers. Amiri Capital has an existing Shariah compliant multi-manager global equity long-short fund, the Amiri Equity Alternative Strategy Fund (AEAS).  It can also deliver equivalent funds with the regional or investment focus desired by investors.

Amiri Capital’s Shariah Compliant investment funds comes with a dedicated Fatwa issued by some of the world’s leading Shariah scholars. This Fatwa relates to the fund entity (Amiri Capital has fund structures in the Cayman Islands and in Luxembourg) and the Shariah structures used by the investment manager: Amiri S3 stock screening for a long-only equity fund, and Amiri S3 and Amiri Capital’s “Islamic shorting” structure for a long-short equity fund.

Amiri Capital’s Shariah Inclined investment funds would not require a Fatwa but would restrict the equities that the manager could invest in, for example by prohibiting the trading of companies involved in alcohol, gambling, gaming, pornography, pork, tobacco, defence etc.
